Paul is on a mission to understand how data-driven and digital technologies can improve our experience of accessing public services. He believes that we need to demystify Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning so that we can automate and augment decision making in a safe and meaningful way. On the weekend he can be found talking to his therapy chickens.

Gareth Roberts

Product Delivery Director

20 years working with software and infrastructure teams developing new and innovative products for healthcare. Gareth believes that the world has embraced new technologies, but healthcare is failing to keep up, digital can provide the solution to improve the healthcare experience across the board. Gareth likes to travel and when not travelling can be often found out walking his dog Chester and in the pub.

Mat Rawsthorne

Head of Research

Mat has had a dual career as a decision support professional and a mental health patient and researcher trialling new approaches. He is fascinated by how people with similar problems can help each other and the role language and technology play in this. Mat can be found sharing resources and catching up on science fact and fiction on twitter – @RawsthorneMat – and in his spare time likes to get out in the open air with his family.

Melissa Wood

Technology Consultant

Mel has a long-standing and diverse background of both technical and consultative experience, having worked as front-end web developer and a technology insight researcher. Mel has a particular interest in person-centric data solutions and user-centered design, as well as applied ethics, and is the Founder & Organiser of SolidMcr community – a community for Web3 transformation and how Solid can power decentralised solutions.

Outside of work, Mel can often be found wondering up big hills, cycling by the coast, in the gym, or in foreign cities enjoying glorious foods and wines in romanticised restaurants.

Product Manager

Experience and passion in Special Educational Needs and Disabilities and children and young people’s mental health. I believe in a ‘tech for good’ approach and creating product’s which are impactful. Outside of work, enjoys equestrian sports, walking, and travelling.

I enjoy using principles of mathematics and technology to explore pattens and phenomena in huge datasets for the purpose of solving real world problems.
